Smiling Minds
As we all move through these challenging times together, parents, carers and teachers have the added responsibility of supporting the children in their care to deal with rapid change and uncertainty. Mindfulness is an active, practical and helpful tool to help adults and children alike manage the challenges many of us are currently facing. Click on the link below for activities that both your children and yourself can complete.
Kids Yoga
In todays' society, children are exposed to many stressful situations such as pressures of school, online social media, busy parents and siblings, video games and competitive sports. This can cause anxiety for children of all ages. Yoga is a wonderful way to provide children with essential life skills that can help them succeed in the world. Click the link below to find out the benefits of yoga and videos that your children can engage with.
Meditation
Studies suggest that children who practice mindfulness tend to develop positive behaviours such as increased self-control, better attentiveness in class, and more empathy and respect for others. Additionally, meditation may help children manage challenging conditions such as stress, depression, ADHD and hyperactivity.
